1.APPLICATION ENGINEER

 Job Purpose:

  • To produce high-quality engineering drawings, calculations and procedural documentation in general support of the local business activity.

Internal and External Relationships

  • Directly Reports to: Operations Manager

Main Responsibilities

  • Development of Material Take Off Lists, Bill of Materials, Proposal drawings for all types of TAPTME products.
  • To help in the preparation and maintenance of Design Documentation packages for technical records and submission to clients’ /verification bodies for approval.
  • Ensuring drawings are produced to meet project requirements.
  • Effective interfacing with design engineers and project team.
  • Support to Project Execution Team.

Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities

  • To comply with TAPTME and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering Technology or similar preferred

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Pipeline experience has more advantage.
  • Knowledge about ASME and API codes.
  • Demonstrable competence in 3D modeling and generating production drawings using Autodesk Inventor/Creo.
  • Ability to update existing calculations to suit new sizes in a product range
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

 

2.WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN:

Job Purpose:

  • To carry out general workshop duties to ensure the timely preparation of customer job orders and completion of routine workshop activities.

Internal Relationships:

  • Directly Reports to Work Shop Supervisor
  • External Relationships: Clients / Suppliers

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, disassemble, inspect, evaluate, repair and test all tools and support equipment related to Hot Tapping, Line Stop and Onsite machining within the range.
  • Adhere to assembly, disassembly and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Accurately record component and material numbers where required.
  • Participate in the evaluation and testing of new product lines.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping and keep all work and storage areas organized and tidy.
  • Adhere to company waste recycling practices.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of the department processes.

Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities:

  • To comply with TAPTME Integrated Management System when carrying out all work.
  • To comply with TAPTME and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance and pressure testing techniques.
  • Experience Machine maintenance.
  • Experience in hydraulic control systems.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to use inspection and lifting equipment.
  • Understanding of Environment, Health, and Safety.

 

3.FIELD TECHNICIAN: HOT TAPPING AND LINE STOP OPERATION

Job Purpose:

  • To deliver TAPTME Pipeline intervention services and products at client locations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients while at client locations/During Project Execution.

Internal and External Relationships:

  • Directly Reports to Projects Manager
  • External Relationships: Clients

Main Responsibilities:

  • To deliver TAPTME pipeline intervention services and products – Principally Hot tapping, Line Stop and Onsite Machining.
  • Expert in Operating Hot tapping and line stop equipment from the range ½” to 98”.
  • Work on own initiative and as part of a team and to train/Guide Assistant Technicians.
  • To travel to onshore/offshore especially in Middle East regions.
  • Work to Company procedures and processes when delivering TAPTME products and services.
  • To ensure that any defects to equipment or materials are reported in line with Company procedures.
  • Pro-actively support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support and contribute to safe ways of working at all times.
  • Liaison with the Offshore & workshop Team Leader on any material, Client /project issues.
  • Any other duties required by the Offshore & Workshop Supervisory staff at TAPTME workshop.
  • To support other departments as and when required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years of Field Experience in Hot Tapping, Line Stop, and Onsite Machining.
  • Familiar in Hot Tap Calculation and Unit Conversions.
  • Basic knowledge of pressure systems and equipment.
  • Able to read an engineering drawing at a basic level.
  • Hot tapping principals and operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • To have a flexible approach to working times.
  • At all times to represent the company in a professional and effective manner.
